ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Christine Merser and Carol Rea have been friends since they both attended the University of Nebraska, long long ago. Carol stayed in the Midwest, eventually enjoying a 19-year career in Communications at UPS, where she honed her writing and editing skills. Over the years, she occasionally edited Christine's successful memoir blog, Freesia Lane, now Christine Merser on Substack.

Christine moved to the East Coast after college, spending her time in New York City, the Hamptons, and Palm Beach. She has been published in Oprah magazine, Newsweek, and the Hers column in The New York Times, to name a few.

While Carol and Christine were vacationing, the seeds for Flight of the Starling were sown and a few years later, Flight of the Starling launched in bookstores across the country. They love talking books, collaboration, and all things Justine (Flight’s protagonist). They would love to hear from you, and attend virtually or in person, your book club discussions of Flight of the Starling.
